Hack For Youth is an exciting and accessible hackathon designed by a group of high school students for high school coders eager to unleash their creativity and enhance their programming skills. Our mission is to inspire the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs by introducing them to programming in a collaborative environment.

Code Ninjas offers an enriching coding experience for kids, fostering the development of valuable coding skills through a game-based curriculum.

Who can participate?
Any high school students that live in British Columbia are allowed to participate!
How much does it cost?
Participation in Hack For Youth is completely free!
What can I make?
A specific theme/prompt will be revealed at the hackathon. However, you are not required to follow the prompt and you could still win a prize!
What do I have to bring?
please bring a laptop and charger. if you do not have a laptop, contact an executive on discord and we may be able to help you out.
Will lunch be provided?
Yes! food, drinks, and snacks will be provided throughout the event to all participants for free.
Can I participate as a team?
Yes, we encourage participants to bring their friends along to form a team of 4 or less people.
What are the prizes?
prizes will include gift cards, memberships to services, and more. You may also contact an executive on discord if you have any suggestions for prizes.
What if I can't code?
Don't worry! we encourage beginners to participate in Hack For Youth, there will be many mentors and guides to help; you may also recieve a prize for the best beginner project!
